A new Bengaluru based startup company established in January 2022, is led by two women directors cum entrepreneurs who are born and brought up in the State of Karnataka, with its Managing Director Smt. Sudharani, G.S being a graduate in Home Science and Director Smt. Chikkagangamma, a seasoned homemaker, well versed in traditional knowledge of various foods, tastes and recipes. FLFLPL’s wish to harness the tastes of traditional foods, with special focus on millets, a traditional food of Karnataka and aim to bring produces of the local farmers to satisfy the palates of the masses.
FLFLPL’s journey with millets would begin with Kodo millet, known for its high fibre content and anthocyanins by introducing Kodo Millet Avalakki (KMA) to the market, as a healthy alternative. FLFLPL aims to procure locally-grown raw material directly from the farmers to manufacture its products. Kodo millet avalakki and formulation of different breakfast items envisages providing a healthy option to all age groups. It could be a novel alternative for having breakfast in most healthy, tastier and easier way. The product availability will also increase market segment in the millet products portfolio. Further, it also helps farmers find market for raw material ensuring better profits and enhancing their income.
