Dr. Veena S Anil -
Dr. Veena S Anil obtained her Ph.D. Degree from the Department of Biochemistry, IISc, Bangalore. Subsequently she worked as a Visiting fellow at NCBS, Bangalore and Senior Research Scientist at Monsanto Research Centre. Bangalore. She accepted a faculty position at the University of Agricultural Sciences Bangalore, in 2010 and currently serves as a Professor at the department of Plant Biotechnology, GKVK, Bangalore. She is the recipient of the INSA Medal for Young Scientists (2003), Anil Kumar Bose Award (2008) by the Indian National Science Academy (INSA), New Delhi and the Innovative Young Biotechnologist Award (IYBA 2010) conferred by DBT, GoI. Dr. Veena S Anil has been actively involved in creating an Innovation Centre at GKVK, UAS, B, right from its inception in 2016. Over the past 5 years she was actively involved in establishing and strengthening the Agri Innovation Centre at UAS, B as the Co-coordinator and Project investigator of the BioNEST project, funded by BIRAC, DBT, GoI,. ISMC member for the SISFS project under DPIIT, GoI.
