The major objectives are to isolate new strains of microorganisms, perform physiological experiments on herbicidal residues in soil and enhance the efficiency of microorganism cultivation conditions, work out laboratory regulations for the production of microbiological preparation for developing products aimed at herbicide degradation in soil and using the same consortium to improve soil and plant health. Their goal is to promote best agricultural practices and rural employment though the use of high-tech microbiological products to be produced in India and best suitable for local conditions.
