Portable tool kit based on Microfluidic Soil On Chip device for sensing the macronutrients. Our solution provides an instant field assistance to the farmers starting from sample treatment to obtaining recommendation of fertilizers. At AIC, UASB, the primary objectives were to complete the fabrication of a microfluidic chip designed for soil analysis and to design and manufacture a 3D-printed soil sampler unit. Alongside this, the team focused on modeling and developing an electronic reader with its associated components to accurately interpret data from the device. The developed system was then tested and validated using known standards such as urea to ensure reliability and accuracy. Finally, field testing was conducted to compare the device’s performance against established benchmarks, aiming to provide a precise, real-time solution for soil nutrient monitoring and analysis in practical agricultural settings.
